N2 Test

Privacy Policy

N2 Test · Jae-min Park, independent developer · Effective November 7, 2026

N2 Test requires no account and never asks for your name, email or phone number. Your study data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. The free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. Google Firebase is used for analytics and crash reports. We never sell your personal information.

1. Information we use and why

Study data

Your exam progress, scores, wrong-answer notes, vocabulary and grammar bookmarks, and where you left off are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, this data is also synced to the private CloudKit database and iCloud key-value storage of your own Apple account, so it can be restored after reinstalling or on another device. The developer cannot access your private iCloud data, and we do not run our own servers.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple (StoreKit) to unlock Premium features and remove ads.

Notifications

If you turn on subscription reminders and allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device (for example, before a free trial ends). They are created on your device, not sent from our servers.

Usage analytics and crash reports

Google Firebase Analytics helps us understand how the app is used (for example, screens opened, questions answered, free or Premium status, and app language). Firebase Crashlytics sends crash reports with device and app diagnostic information. Firebase Remote Config adjusts app settings and promotions without an update. This information is used to fix bugs and improve the app and is not linked to your name or contact details.

Advertising and tracking

The free version shows banner, interstitial and app-open ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information, IP address and ad interaction data to serve, measure and limit ads.

When you first open the app, iOS asks whether you allow N2 Test to track your activity (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used by Google to show personalized ads and measure ad performance across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the IDFA is not shared and you may still see non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium subscribers see no ads.

5. Children

N2 Test is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for learners of all ages. It is a general-audience educational app for language learners rather than an app made specifically for children (it is not in the App Store Kids category). The app has no account sign-up and does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information such as name, email or phone number. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been collected, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) provided by Apple and Google. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we rely on the protections these platforms offer.

7. Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date above will be updated, and significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
